Augusta Barker papers

The microfilmed Augusta Barker papers contain a letter from Augusta Barker to Mr. Cope (1875 June 28) about an original portrait of George Washington painted by her father, Rembrandt Peale, with a postscript added by Emily C. Jacobs, who purchased the painting. Also included are a biography of Augusta Barker; and an "In Memoriam" typescript of Barker's obituary (1887 July 8, Northampton, Massachusetts).
